Spreading the Gospel Through Radical Generosity with John Rinehart
Ray talks with author and speaker John Rinehart about his faith journey and the impact of faith-centered generosity on the spread of the Gospel.
John Rinehart studied business at Biola University and later got his Masters of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology. In 2010 he became an elder at Grace Evangelical Free Church in La Mirada, California, and in 2011 started a mercy-ministry there called Grace Foodbank that now serves thousands of people each year. Most recently, he and his wife, Renée, adopted a boy and a girl from Ethiopia and are also planting a church in Fullerton, California, where he preaches regularly.
He is the author of Gospel Patrons and Giving Together and speaks around the world. He is the Founder of Gospel Patrons.
“Gospel Patron is the tender journey of what it is to be a christian business leader”
“When these two pieces of the body work together – patron, preacher and proclaimer of the gospel – God does explosive things in history.”
“This is how the Gospel spreads: someone is going to preach and someone is going to provide.”
1. Missions need both the worker and the supporter.
2. God calls people to different professions and vocations.
3. God can use Christian Business Leaders through their generosity.
4. Giving is not always the same as faith centered generosity.
