Philippians 2:14 says to do everything without complaining or arguing so that you may become blameless and pure. Have you ever been around someone at work who’s always complaining? It’s not very pleasant, is it? No matter the situation, they have to find the negative in things. They’re always looking for what’s wrong or for what will not go well.

Perhaps you, too, have had this attitude about things at times. I must admit that I don’t always like this verse from the Bible. It’s not one of those things that always makes me feel really good about myself. Why? Because, quite frankly, I tend to complain about things, and sometimes it just feels good to whine and complain.

It’s too hot, it’s too cold, I don’t want to have to work today, and this is too hard, why do I have to do this? The list goes on and on. How about you? Do you ever complain about things?

In today’s verse the Bible tells us to free ourselves of complaining or arguing about anything. It tells us that if we will maintain the proper attitude, we will set the example of being pure children of God in front of other people in the marketplace. Imagine completing your responsibilities and duties at work and even at home without complaining.

Today and every day, check yourself. Stop whining and complaining, because if you will maintain a positive attitude, you’ll be applying the truth at work.
