Romans 5:8 says God demonstrates His love for us in this, that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Zig Ziglar, the world-famous author and motivational speaker, often carries around with him a small, round, wooden coin. On one side of the coin, the letters T.U.I.T. are printed in black ink. When he holds up the coin to show the audience, he says, “This is my Round-Tuit.” His point is made.
Many of us procrastinate and go around in life saying, “Someday, I’ll get around to it.” I am so glad that God is not a procrastinator. He didn’t wait until we had our act together before saving us from our sins, and that’s what today’s verse tells us.
How about you? Is there anything important in your life that you’re putting off until you can get around to it? Maybe there’s an important project at work that you need to now complete. Maybe there’s a challenging conversation that needs to take place right away with a customer or coworker. Or maybe there’s a damaged relationship in your personal life, and you’ve delayed mending it until everything’s just right.
There’s no time like today. I want to encourage you to move forward without further delay. When you do this, you’ll be applying the truth at work.
