Eric Fogg has been a Chapter President with Truth at Work in the Holland, West Michigan area since 2018. He has a great passion for marketplace ministry and believes God is using leaders at work to demonstrate the love of Jesus in this troubled world like never before.
He was raised in Holland, Michigan in a local business family along with his 4 brothers where business ran in the family blood. The Fogg boys started their first basement machine shop when Eric was just 8 years old, later purchasing Holland Pen Company.
Most recently having served nearly 7 years overseas in the jungles of Ecuador working in the office of Community Development for a Christian Mission agency. Mainly working with clean water projects involving spring capitation and solar systems he is also trained in several other clean water technologies. He stays focused that clean water was a wonderful way to make first contact with people, but it’s the life-giving message of Jesus that really transforms lives. Caught in the struggle between Helping and Hurting and the real gap between people’s intentions and their actions, he started a new training school for missionaries in the later years of the journey. He trained new missionaries in effective Community Development with the goal to communicate the gospel in a culture different than your own.
Impassioned to speak the local language to effectively present the gospel, he and his family completed a one-year immersion language school in San Jose Costa Rica in Spanish. Previously the owner of Holland Custom Metalworks in Holland, Michigan, Eric was highly involved with sales engineering and shop management for a team of 18 people. Over the 12 years in business it more than tripled, acquired a new building and went through several trials. He implemented Kan Ban inventory management tools and created a custom job shop manager for internal ERP. The business was sold when God called his family to the foreign mission field. Eric is married to Renee and they have 4 children. Adrianne, Kevin, Joshua, and our adopted blessing Jacob.
