When Dave Curtiss became a Chapter President in September of 2023, it was a journey that was over 30 years in the making. God had been at work positioning him in different capacities with a focus on leadership and faith for some time. Those areas converged for Dave through Truth At Work. With years of proven leadership and coaching experience across public and private sector roles he has a track record of excellence in leading highly-matrixed complex people organizations. Throughout he has developed strong relationships with senior leaders and employees across orgs driving individual potential. Dave conducts life and business affairs with a consummate level of integrity and honesty while seeking out and nurturing these traits in others. He has a strong desire to support all stakeholders (e.g. staff, leaders, mentees) alongside customers and clients with a track record of building healthy relationships across organizations. Working with Business Owners, CEOs and C-Suites to equip and inspire them to grow personally, professionally and spiritually is Dave’s calling. Through Truth At Work Round Tables Dave is working with business leaders to understand the unique calling they have on the Central Coast.
Beginning his career in local church ministry, Dave eventually led Youth Ministry for the Church of the Nazarene in USA and Canada. After several stints as a Lead Pastor, he became a USA Director for Christian Veterinary Mission, eventually being promoted to the $162MM international nonprofit parent organization (CRISTA Ministries) as Vice President/Faith Engagement. After many years in executive roles with large international nonprofits, Dave joined a for-profit senior living management company eventually becoming their CEO. Executive leadership roles over 30 years helped shape Dave’s understanding and skills as a leader in the business world. The worlds of local church ministry, not-for-profit and for-profit unite perfectly in the role of Chapter President for Truth At Work.
Dave and his wife together they have five children, two daughters and three sons. Dave graduated from Southern Christian University in Religious Studies. Dave enjoys all the Central Coast has to offer with its beaches, being close to the mountains while spending time with his family.
