Wisconsin Chapter

Maureen Hurd

Chapter President – Wisconsin

Maureen Hurd is the owner of Core Business Solutions, a Milwaukee-based search firm exclusively recruiting senior level and executive positions for companies in the Midwest.  Maureen began her career in the staffing industry in 1996 and became an Independent Recruiter in 2001. That experience laid the foundation to launch Core Business Solutions in 2002 and enter the world of entrepreneurship. Core was named by the Milwaukee Business Journal as one of the city’s top retained executive search firms in 2014 and 2015. Maureen holds a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Maureen takes a genuine interest in others and prides herself on developing strong relationships. She is known as a great “connector” and resource by her friends, colleagues and clients. Maureen has always been proud to share that “God is her CEO” and humbly recognizes that her gifts and abilities comes from Him!

Core has grown significantly under Maureen’s leadership, including the acquisition of the Board of Director search firm, Beal Associates, in June of 2013. Beal Associates is a leading Board of Director search firm dedicated to recruiting and delivering the highest-caliber Board Members. The Beal team provides high-touch, high quality searches and continues to build its extensive network from a comprehensive range of industries and disciplines.

When Maureen got connected with Truth At Work, the idea of blending faith at work in an executive format made complete sense. She always lived out her faith where possible; however, getting Godly business council had been a challenge. She had been a part of a CEO roundtable group for 10 years and yearned to be a part of an executive group that used biblically based principles to solve business issues. Truth At Work was the answer and she committed to the training and became a Chapter President to work with other Christian business leaders in the marketplace.

God continues to refine and equip Maureen to help executives lead Christian organizations that honor HIM. She has been blessed to witness the life and business changing experience of the roundtable members and see them grow personally, spiritually and professionally.

Maureen lives a very active lifestyle with her husband and twin boys. You will either find her at social/networking event, at church, volunteering, participating in a sporting event, or enjoying the great outdoors. She is also a founding member of Milwaukee Believes, a Christian organization whose mission is to serve as a neutral convener to connect leaders in the Gospel Movement in Milwaukee, communicate opportunities and celebrate where God is working in Milwaukee. The greater vision is a Unified Church Serving a Thriving Milwaukee.
